Merry Christmas from Top Clone Scripts

2009 has been an amazing year. For one, it saw the launch of Top Clone Scripts and many other related projects, and most importantly, I got to meet every single one of you all. Thank you for this opportunity, and thankyou to those (yes you!) who keep coming back time and time again to this place, and keep getting the information that you are after. This has been a crazy few months, and I can’t thank you all enough for being a part of this place.

I want to touch on something that I heard only a few days ago, that I think is truly one of the most powerful statements that I have ever heard, and you can thank not only Jim Rohn (bless his soul) for being the man who uttered these very words, but you can also thank Frank Kern for being the one to write the heart felt post about Jim Rohn after his passing earlier this month, as this is what ultimately bought this amazing human being to my attention.

During a seminar, Jim Rohn spoke of some advice that he received from one of his mentors, Jim Schoaff, when he was much younger. He spoke of an encounter of his when he was 25 years old, when girl scouts visited his house, and he did not have enough money to purchase cookies from them, and chose to lie to them at the front door by saying “I already have a lot of cookies”. Now, he felt terrible about this, and as a result, his life turned around, as he did not ever want to be in this situation again. Soon after this, he met Earl Shoaff.

When talking to Earl Shoaff about his income, about how little the company pays him, Earl told Jim, “No, that is all the company pays you”. When Jim told him that things cost too much, Earl told Jim “No, you just can’t afford them”. You see where I am going here? It’s not a matter of thinking about the negatives, it’s a matter of what you can do to improve that situation, every single day life can be turned around in the blink of an eye, it’s just a matter of getting the motivation to do just that. Pretty amazing words in my opinion, and definitely some that have changed my life.

This year for a lot of people has been a turbulent one. The homelessness rate all over the world has skyrocketed, people who once made an honest living are now living in tents, we have the world placing focus on areas that affect us on a global scale and simply not having the man power to focus on issues that affect us immediately. Everyone has fought hard to get through 2009, as did I.

2010 is a year of opportunity, and we are about to enter this year. The recession may not go away too quick, however we are entering the digital age and the opportunities that are out there are abundant. Take 2010 as an opportunity, it is the last big one that we will get in some time.

To all my twitter followers, mailing list subscribers, fans, users, competition, and anyone else who may be finding themselves reading this, I wish you all a very happy Christmas, and I hope that for you too, the start of 2010 signals brighter prospects.

I will close using another quotation that I heard not too long ago. Each day whilst on the internet, leave the internet just that little bit better than when you logged on. The same goes for life outside of cyberspace.

Merry Christmas from Top Clone Scripts!
